Ich k\u00f6nnte geschichtlich und geologisch\/geografisch ausholen und allerlei Informatives schreiben, ich k\u00f6nnte aber auch \u00fcber unser Antigua-Feeling berichten. Ich versuche mich mal am Letzteren, denn f\u00fcr uns wird Antigua einer dieser Sehnsuchtsorte bleiben, der auf seine ganz eigene Weise den Weg in unsere Herzen gefunden hat.<\/p>\n<p>Als wir hier ankamen, standen die Sterne f\u00fcr eine Freundschaft nicht gut. Reisefreunden hatten sie hier das Auto aufgebrochen, im Reisef\u00fchrer und unserer App wurden wir ausdr\u00fccklich vor Diebst\u00e4hlen gewarnt und auch andere Geschichten kamen uns zu Ohren.<\/p>\n<p>Andererseits ist Antigua neben Tikal DIE Reiseempfehlung f\u00fcr Guatemala. Auslassen wollten wir es also auch nicht. Also lie\u00dfen wir uns ein, suchten einen passenden Campingplatz am Stadtrand und schauten uns um.<\/p>\n<p>Was wir sahen gefiel uns gut &#8211; die Stadt, die Menschen, die Ausblicke auf die Vulkane. Dazu ein logistisch hervorragend gelegener Campingplatz mit warmen (!) Duschen, kleinen Tiendas ringsum und einem Marktplatz mit nahezu t\u00e4glich aufgebauten St\u00e4nden, an denen Familien der Nachbarschaft lokales Essen verkauften.<br \/>\nWir wurden also mutiger, fuhren Bus oder Tuktuk, versuchten uns an dem angebotenen fresh-fast-food und schickten die Kinder ins L\u00e4dchen an der Ecke, Brot oder Eis oder Eier kaufen. Au\u00dferdem konnten wir hier endlich Livi&#8217;s lang gehegten Wunsch erf\u00fcllen, mal wieder Bouldern zu gehen, auch das ging ganz einfach zu Fu\u00df und die Boulderhalle war eine kleine, feine, neue Halle, wo auch die anderen Jungs mit viel Freude den einen oder anderen Boulder probieren konnten.<\/p>\n<p>Das f\u00fchlte sich alles gut und rund an und als dann auch unsere schweizer Freunde noch zu uns stie\u00dfen, gab es keinen Grund zur Flucht mehr. So vergingen die Tage, zwischendurch machten wir uns auf Vulkantour (von der ich separat berichte), kamen wieder zur\u00fcck, lernten neue Nachbarn kennen und genossen unser Sein sehr an diesem sch\u00f6nen Ort. Aus anf\u00e4nglicher Skepsis wurde schlie\u00dflich eine gute Freundschaft.<\/p>\n<p>Und irgendwann kam mir diese Liste in den Sinn:<br \/>\nWoran merkst du, dass dein Reiseziel zum Wohlf\u00fchlort geworden ist?<\/p>\n<p>Wenn &#8230;<br \/>\n&#8230; du ohne Karte merkst, dass der Tuktukfahrer in die falsche Richtung f\u00e4hrt.<br \/>\n&#8230; du wei\u00dft, was auf dem Bus stehen muss, damit du wieder auf dem Campingplatz ankommst.<br \/>\n&#8230; du wei\u00dft, wieviel ein Pfund W\u00e4sche waschen und trocknen kosten darf.<br \/>\n&#8230; du wei\u00dft, wieviele Tortillas du f\u00fcr einen Quetzales bekommen solltest.<br \/>\n&#8230; der Verk\u00e4ufer am Stra\u00dfenstand dich schon von Weitem winkend gr\u00fc\u00dft.<br \/>\n&#8230; die Kinder morgens wissen, wo sie Brot f\u00fcrs Fr\u00fchst\u00fcck kaufen k\u00f6nnen und das auch tun.<br \/>\n&#8230; du den Preis f\u00fcr die Busfahrt schon beim Einstieg passend in der Hand h\u00e4ltst.<br \/>\n&#8230; dir beim Fr\u00fchst\u00fcck mindestens drei wichtige Gr\u00fcnde einfallen, warum Weiterfahren heute also wirklich nicht sinnvoll w\u00e4re.<br \/>\n\ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_3277\"
